THE COPAKE SOLAR PROJECT

Chicago-based Hecate Energy wants to build a 42-megawatt solar facility that would sprawl across 700 acres near New York State Route 23, Route 7 and Route 11A in Craryville, a hamlet of Copake, NY. This industrial-sized facility will also impact the towns of Hillsdale and Taghkanic, the Taghkanic Creek Watershed which supplies Hudson’s drinking water,  the Taconic Hills Central School District, the Rheinstrom Hill Audubon Sanctuary,  and Copake Lake areas.
